Meet Chef Jakub Czyszczon

Executive Chef | Culinary Innovator | Team USA Bocuse d'Or 2025 Sous Chef

 

Born in Chicago, Chef Jakub Czyszczyon discovered his passion for cooking during childhood visits to his family’s farm in Poland, where he learned the value of seasonal ingredients and traditional techniques from his grandmother.

 

He trained at Le Cordon Bleu and refined his skills under Michelin-starred chef Andrew Zimmerman, laying the foundation for a distinguished culinary career.

 

Jakub’s journey led him to Austin, Texas, where he served as Executive Chef at Garrison. During his tenure, the restaurant earned a Forbes 4-Star rating for three consecutive years and, by the end of his leadership, received a coveted Michelin Recommendation—along with national recognition and critical acclaim.

 

Most recently, Jakub represented the United States on the world stage as Sous Chef for Team USA at the 2025 Bocuse d'Or, the most prestigious culinary competition in the world. Working alongside the nation’s top chefs, he helped showcase American culinary excellence at an elite international level.
